This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced VDA/Estimating Support Engineer to join the UK’s leading Accident and Collision Repair specialists.
Utilising your ATA qualification, you will build relationships and educate our VDA's to produce estimates using agreed repair methodology, ensuring estimates carried out are of the highest standards in line with manufacture and industry safety standards. To support the wider Group, providing technical expertise to build and optimise estimates to ensure full commercial value of the repair is realised in line with agreed guidelines.
Overview of the role:
Support FMGRS sites where required to complete desktop image estimating.
Ensuring full estimates are carried out in line with company guidelines and protocols.
Liaising with sites to ensure authorities and parts ordering are completed in a timely manner.
Make recommendations on potential “total loss vehicles” based on all case information where required, avoiding total loss claims where possible.
Understand the Approved Repairer Agreement, this means the services provided to our clients, and what is and is not covered in contractual terms of work providers.
Liaise with customers when further images or claim details are required
About you:
Efficient planning and prioritisation of time to ensure accurate and speedy completion of tasks
Play an active role in team meetings/briefings
Actively look for continuous improvements to own performance and the performance of the team
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Group products, services, and systems, always demonstrating personal adherence
Consistent achievement of performance objectives and targets
Demonstrate & take ownership for personal development in line with Personal Performance and Development Plans including attending all relevant training days
There is the also the possibility for the role to develop into an Auditing and Coaching role to support the business and support best practice, with a remuneration/package to reflect the position.
Ideally you are qualified to NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA qualified with a solid Bodyshop background. You will also require a full UK driving licence.
